Banks can now connect their business banking channels and capabilities to the accounting and ERP systems their clients run. TreasurUp and Apideck are partnering to make ERP-embedded banking ready for execution: 50+ systems reachable through one integration, in the bank’s own brand and on the bank’s own rails.

ERP-embedded banking: TreasurUp and Apideck connect banks' FX, payments and liquidity management services to QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics and more

ERP-embedded banking with TreasurUp and Apideck: the bank’s capabilities, connected to 50+ accounting and ERP systems.

Why ERP-embedded banking matters now

Business clients run their finances in accounting and ERP software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Exact Online. That is increasingly where they decide what to pay, what to hedge and how much cash they will have next month.

Most banks are absent from these journeys. They still hold the accounts, but less and less the daily relationship. And the opportunities to serve these clients with higher-value services remain too limited.

Most banks do not have a complete and consistent ERP connectivity offer for their business clients. That is the gap ERP-embedded banking is designed to close.

A partnership built around the bank

TreasurUp, the Dutch channels specialist for Daily Business Banking, and Apideck, the Belgian integration infrastructure company, are partnering to give business banks an ERP-embedded banking strategy that is ready for execution.

TreasurUp provides the bank’s capabilities in, or adjacent to, the ERP system. It starts with account balances, payment orchestration and reconciliation. These core capabilities can be enriched with components for FX execution and FX hedging, and for cash flow forecasting and liquidity management. Everything is fully white-labelled and bank-branded.

Apideck connects the joint bank and TreasurUp capabilities to the full portfolio of accounting and ERP systems, reading and writing data across 50+ systems through one API.

Who does what

The bank provides the accounts, the payment rails, FX pricing and liquidity products. It holds the client relationship.

TreasurUp builds and runs the bank’s ERP-embedded app, including the capability layer for higher-value services. The app is always fully connected to and integrated with the bank’s infrastructure.

Apideck provides the ERP connectivity behind it: one API to 50+ accounting and ERP systems, embedded authentication and connection management, and a pass-through architecture that keeps no copy of the client’s accounting data. Apideck also does the technical build and certification work and, where needed, guides the bank through each programme.

How ERP-embedded banking works for the bank’s client

For the client, ERP-embedded banking starts with one connection. A finance manager connects the company’s accounting system to the embedded app once. From there, the daily work runs through it.

Approved supplier bills appear in the app as payment proposals, ready for review and approval. The payment status flows back into the books. Bank transactions land in the reconciliation screen of the same accounting system.

Foreign-currency invoices show up as an FX exposure, with a hedging proposal that follows the company’s own policy. The cash flow forecast is built from real receivables, payables and balances. No spreadsheet upload.

If the company changes ERP, it reconnects. The bank does nothing.

What changes for the bank

With ERP-embedded banking from TreasurUp and Apideck, one integration replaces separate projects per ERP. Additional connectors are added on request.

All components are composable, so the offer can be tailored to the scope and requirements of each bank.

Most importantly, the bank is no longer relegated to a behind-the-scenes execution engine. We bring fully bank-branded experiences back to where the client works.

Where ERP-embedded banking is available

The joint offer is available to banks in Europe and North America now.

In North America it runs through QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite and Dynamics 365 Business Central. In Europe it runs through Exact Online, Twinfield, Yuki and Moneybird in the Benelux, and Xero and Sage in the UK. This sits alongside TreasurUp’s bank footprint in the Nordics, Benelux and Germany.

After the intake, the joint team proposes a rollout plan and commercial terms based on the modules chosen and the expected number of connected clients.

What the two CEOs say

“Business clients decide what to execute where, at the moment they book an invoice, place an order or see a cash surplus, and that moment includes their ERP. Banks that are not present there risk losing flow or even the daily relationship.

With Apideck we can provide a bank with a complete and consistent ERP-embedded offer in months, in the bank’s own brand, on top of the Transaction Banking and Markets channels that they already run.”

Niels van Daatselaar, CEO and co-founder, TreasurUp

“Every accounting and ERP system has its own API, its own data model and its own partner programme. We take that work off the bank’s plate: one integration, 50+ systems with global coverage, and the client’s accounting data passes through without being stored.

TreasurUp turns that connectivity into workflows a bank can put in front of its clients. Together we let a bank keep the payments, the FX and the conversation.”

Gertjan De Wilde, CEO and co-founder, Apideck
